The Trail Boss is out milking the cows so he asked me to write this month's article.
We've all been out dancing at Cowboys Arlington on Friday nights (most of the time) and at Horseman on Saturday nights.
We spent the weekend with our Midland/Odessa Chapter last weekend. They had a workshop with Ron and Beki Crider teaching. This year was done a little different than in the past.. Ron and Beki taught the Intermediate to Advanced students and John Vislosky taught the Beginner dancers. Their chapter provided lunch and door prizes.
Then it was out to the Stardust for dancing Saturday night. Margaret and Jerry Marshall went with us and Jerry had to arm wrestle the waitress. She found out you should never arm wrestle with a big mechanic who doesn't need a torque wrench. Ron and Beki did a dedication dance to Chuck and Pat Pagliaroli. It was absolutely beautiful. We lost Pat to cancer in November 2006. Chuck was out of the state visiting relatives and this dedication dance was taped so Chuck could watch it whenever he wanted. We will all miss Pat but we know she's in heaven teaching dancing up there.
By the time this newsletter is out, our workshop on March 25 will be history. Mike Wagner and Sloan Hansen will be teaching Intermediate/Advanced Classes and Barbara Albright and Natasha will be teaching the Beginner Classes. Hats off to them for their contributions.
Another workshop is still in the planning stages. The date has been selected. This one will be on Saturday, April 21 at the Horseman. No instructors or specific dances have been set at this time. Please watch for notices on the Announce Lists, etc.
Also, a big thanks to Virginia and Jerry Rainey for putting on the Hoedown each year. They've put in a lot of time and money to make sure this event is perfect and we appreciate everything they do for the dance world.
Well, I guess it's about time that I close this up and git my scrub board out. Gotta have clean clothes so we can go dance.
So, we'll see y'all out dancing.

Friday
night... we have decided to visit our
sister chapter Arlington at Cowboy’s on
Friday nights for a while. As you know we usually leave around 9:30 to 10:00 as it gets
more crowded by
then and the restaurants clear out so it’s a win win situation for both of us.
Saturday night...you will find us at
The Horseman Club doing our thing. This is our home base so come out
and join us for a fun night of dancing and being with friends.
If you would like to be informed about upcoming events or reminders on top of the
dance announce list then send me your email address and I will see that you get a
reminder. We have more workshops coming up and you need to be informed about
these. A lot of time is spent putting these together for you and I know if you just know
about them sooner you would want to attend. Ron and I and Donnie and Melinda and
so many others have gone to so many workshops over the years and I never come away
without some new knowledge or a reminder of something I knew to do but just had let
that idea or technique slip away. You know we are not getting any younger and the
minds are starting to go...so come to the workshops to try and stay ahead of this old age
thing.
We are looking for ideas for a road trip. We love taking these short weekend
excursions around Texas. If you know of a fun club you have been to before and
it’s a town we can drive to on a Saturday, dance that night at the club and
