TCWDA Cruise

Several Members of the Fort Worth Chapter just recently returned to the USA after a brief but fun cruise to Nassau, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and San Juan. We were a much smaller group this year due to the port being Florida instead of Texas. However, we had a blast.

Let's see... We "wheeled" around in San Juan and looked at all the shops and the beaches. In St. Maarten we rented a van and most of us took off together to do our own site seeing. It was a wonderful adventure and the view was magnificent. Our "pilot" and "co-pilot" got us lost (or so they say) and we ended up in the parking lot of a nude beach and park. It took us 15 minutes to get out of the parking lot (John V, at the wheel, was going around and around and around) and we got several "shots" of tourists who were attending the functions at this location (ask Chris and Cheryl for pictures). We were laughing so hard - you can imagine what they thought of this van of people going round and round and round.

We took a tour of St. Maarten and ended up at Blue Beard's Castle - absolutely beautiful. This is where you want to retire, folks.

We managed to dance every night and you can ask Ted who was almost streaking one night on the ship because of "another wardrobe malfunction".

All in all it was wonderful and we're planning 2006 as we speak. Come join us - it's a blast.

Note to our Prez...

This space is normally where our Chapter President, Ron Crider, puts in his two-cents worth.

I don’t know how many of you know that he's a bit under the weather at the moment and recuperating from shoulder surgery. He and Beki are slowing down to take time for him to heal properly. Before you know it, they'll be back on the floor doing moves most of us wouldn't even attempt.

Please send them your warm wishes for a speedy return to the dance floor at cronbekic@charter.net

Ron, please get well soon. Beki don't kill yourself trying to do it all - we're here to help.

Love to you both from Fort Worth Chapter TCWDA
