Larry Moore, Our Dear Friend

Larry Gene Moore was born Sept. 23, 1942 in Anson to William and Kathryn Moore. He was a postal carrier for 24 years; 17 of those spent delivering mail and making friends on RR-41. A Charter member of Heritage Church of Christ, Larry was a kind and loving husband, father and Poppy, and a friend to all he met. He and Joyce were world-class competitors in country dance circles.

Survivors: his devoted wife: Joyce Moore of Azle, beloved children: Shelly Waddell and husband Max of Keller, Larry Scott Moore and wife Della of Orange, Randall Moore and wife LeeAnn of North Richland Hills, father: William Lee Moore of Hamlin, sisters: Helen Ferguson and husband Kenneth and Kathy Wilcox and husband Ronnie, grandchildren: Justin, Taylor, Sarah, Austin, Whitney, Lauren and Macy Hope, along with a hosts of extended family, friends and church family at Heritage. (Copied from Mid-Cities Funeral Home web site. )

Larry was our dear friend and a member of our dance family. Our hearts are hurting at the loss of our friend and we pray for the Lord’s strength and guidance as Joyce and their family deal with their loss of a husband, son, father and Poppy.

We will miss you Larry.

Six Flags Over Texas Dance Day

The Fort Worth Chapter is planning a fun day at Six Flags Over Texas on Saturday, May 21st. We will meet at 2:00 P.M. and try to drive in and park as a group. Ride the tram to the gates and let the fun begin. We have done this in small groups in years past and had a blast. Except that it’s really hard to keep up with Melinda Stewart’s stamina. At one point she had Donnie and I were pretty nauseous. After a day at the flags and a night under the stars (I love the place at night) we will probably leave and crawl into our cars and either go eat dinner somewhere or make our way home exhausted but with warm sugar plums dancing in our heads. Any chapter member is welcome. Come join us for our Six Flags day.

Get out there and dance…

Hi all,

The Fort Worth Chapter needs someone to write the newsletter article each month. The current person, (me) is retiring from doing it. I have been writing the article for 12 years out of the 15 that the chapter has had its charter. I just wrote the one for April and I will write the article for May but after that someone else will need to step up to the plate or we will have a blank page.

I have enjoyed writing the article until just recently but I think I have burnout and my articles are just not good anymore so it’s time to give it up to someone who can do a better job. It’s kind of like my baby and going to be hard to let it go but I think it’s for the best.

If you know of someone who is a chapter member and wants to write it let me know. It is written in Microsoft Word. You can reply to CRonBekiC@charter.net, or my office email: bcrider@texasunitedtitle.com

Thank you,
Beki Crider
