Larry Moore, One of our Own

We as a chapter want to extend our heartfelt hopes and prayers to Larry and Joyce Moore.  Both Larry and Joyce were Fort Worth Chapter members for years.  Larry was also an Executive Board member and a dance competitor in both UCWDC circuit and on the Hoe-Down circuit.  Larry is one of those rare individuals that never met a stranger.  He was a friend to one and all.  He just found out a few weeks ago during gallbladder surgery that he has cancer.  A bunch of us that have known him since 1990 got together and went to visit Joyce and Larry.  We had a wonderful visit and got to laugh a lot at some of the funny dance things we reviewed on a video that Ron Crider had found.  Larry was performing with Bob Noble, Bruce Lesikar, Mike Key and another dancer I did not know in a New Year’s Eve guy’s dressed like girls line dance team.  There performance or more specifically Larry’s performance was an absolute HOOT!  We applaud you Larry and all that you have given so freely to our dance community.  Thank you for your service to TCWDA, TPCDA, and ACDA.  Our hearts and prayers are with you and Joyce, Shelley, Randy and Scott and their families as you go through this very trying time.

You will always be a cherished member of our family.

 Prez Gives a Stool Dance

You Prez gave a Horseman Club stool dancy to Cheryl Lester in February.  She has a stress fracture on her foot and has not been capagble of dancing for several weeks.  So Ron placed her on a stool and dances with her.  She did spins, pretzels, girl and boy under turns, patty-cake turns and more while trying to balance on the stool with the extra weight of the foot and ankle brace on.  She had so much fun and so did the spectators watching.  Way to go Prez...
