Chapter Christmas Party
Well it was Christmas at the Crider’s Hacienda again. We genuinely love to have our dance friends together at our home. The evening started as guests arriving had a word placed on their back. (Thank you Pat Quick for this game). There mission (should they choose to accept it) was to guess the word which could be a person, place or thing. When you guessed your word, you then removed the tag from your back and were allowed to keep it as your prize (suitable for framing). Vera Hancock and Cheryl Lester were the first two to guess correctly and should have won the prize, but as the entire group tried to give Chris Hopkins hints as to her word…GOLDIE HAWN…
which actually was her second word as John Lester told her the first word while giving her hints. (Bad John, Bad John). It took about 2 hours for Chris to get it so I figured the prize had to go to her for hanging in there. After the first game, a hush fell over the group as we were all eating the wonderful food everyone brought., Now full and miserable we adjourned to the living room to first have our meeting and elect 2005 officers. Next was to play The Liars Club and boy do we have some good liars! Our panel consisted of George (you know I’m a liar) Arndt, Tammy (tell me true-with toys) Hudgins, Dahli (Hello I’m Dahli, I would never lie) and Bill (I can’t lie unless it’s a Federal Emergency) Klappholz. At the end of the lying and denying, team 2 won led by Ron (I‘ve have one or two too many) Crider. Susan won the prize out of her team two. The food was great, the friends even better and a good time was had by all. Oh, and the biggest liar of all was a tie between Bill Klappholz and Tammy Hudgins with Bill picking the correct winning number and being selected as TOP LYING DOG for two years running.
Happy New Year to All

Presidential Dance Tips…Dance timing is one of the most important elements of musical dance interpretation. For instance we all learned Two-Step as quick, quick, slow, slow or slow, slow, quick, quick. Where as in reality the music calls for 1, 2, 3, 5 or quick, quick, slow and slow. This timing leaves time to settle and hold as to accent and anchor this timing phrase. This is done in all dances as to define that particular dance and types of music. When done correctly you will feel the difference in your dancing.
Good luck on the dance floor,
Ron
