Fort Worth Christmas Party on December 11th, 7:00 P.M. at Ron and Beki’s House @ 5813 Whitman Ave. Fort Worth, 76133. Wear casual attire and plan to have fun. Bring a dish per the breakdown below. Bring a dish based on the first letter of your last name.

Dallas Dance Festival
We
had a great social at Dallas Dance Festival on Sat. November 6th. We
had a lot of members show up for the Dance Show and we also had some FW members
competing. We want to congratulate Don Stearns, Ed Gage and Donnie and Melinda
Stewart. They all did very well.
Shall We Dance
A
group of us went to see Shall We Dance on Nov. 9th. We had dinner and
a movie in downtown Fort Worth. A great movie for dancers to see. Richard Gere
in a tux with a rose in his hand coming up the escalator received an "AHH"
from all girls present. The guys just looked at us. We had a great time and it
was a quickly put together outing.
This is why you should get on the TCWDA Dance Announce list. We sent out notices for anyone that wanted to come was welcome.

Dance Tips…When taking a dance lesson, either private or group class, always
observe all movements, stance and body angles of the instructor. Watch both as
the instructor shows the move, but also when they dance the move. Try to imitate
foot positions and arm and body contra. Sometimes because they are so ingrained
with technique they forget to pass something they do on autopilot on to us
students. By being very observant to all the instructor does, you will be able
to learn the move or pattern more efficiently. Thanks to Beki for this tip. It
has served me well in many a dance lesson. So Good Luck and see you in our next
class.

Yellow Rose and Winstar Casino
Great trip to Sherman for dancing at Yellow Rose. We saw
friends that we haven’t seen in a long time. We also missed friends that came
on Friday night as I had the date wrong in the CIT. Sunday it was on to Winstar
Casino for some light gambling. We moved all over the casino and tried a lot of
machines. We may be going back soon for more fun and that wonderful floating
dance floor.
