TCWDA Cruise 2004 (Alias-The yellow T-Shirt Pack)

OH MY GOD! Yellow T-Shirts RULE!!! You missed the cruise of a lifetime! Ron and I have been on 12 previous cruises and never have we danced more (baby powder on the dance floor…thanks Mary, great suggestion) or had more fun than with our TCWDA dance family on this cruise. You must plan to go next year and we will be getting the information out to you within 30 to 60 days for you to book and save your money. I really don’t know where to begin other than at the beginning. Several of your fellow cruisers have sent in information for this newsletter denoting the highlights. Obviously for space we will not be able to tell all and after all…What happens on a TCWDA Cruise stays on a TCWDA Cruise unless you write the newsletter article and then almost anything goes. (They would cut my feet off if I tell absolutely everything.)

Hardy Toll Road, Houston, Trailer full of luggage…trailer tongue breaks off. Sparks flying, what a sight. The E-Board teamed up to do repairs. Your President John (McGuiver) Vislosky and his side-kick VP Ted (the Tool Man) Myers, FW Ex-Trail Boss John Lester and your Prez Ron Crider (who wore his Jamee pants to drive in got under it and made it workable. How many dancers does it take to screw in a bolt? (See website picture for the answer-obviously 4). (This also included a trip to Home Depot). Thanks to friends who instructed the hotel to hold rooms, we did make the trip down in only 9 hours.

Bill and Mary had a wine party in their suite and we saw a Waterspout Tornado off of their balcony on the starboard side. Bill and Dahli had 5 lobster tails one meal. John won a bet with our waiter that he could not eat 2 deaths by chocolate desserts. Waiter lost $100.00 but gave John a bottle of wine instead. We had 3 Anniversary’s. John & Cheryl, Bruce & Lynn & Ted and Chris…We sang Happy Anniversary Ya’ll.

John V managed to give up his shirt 3 times in 1 night to 3 different women! (Lynn, Lynda and Beki-) at the Scavenger hunt.

George managed to feel a whole lot of love and totally violated within 5 minutes by the same game. George and Pat smoked up the dance floor the first night - in fact George almost lost his drawers over it. (Literally).

We all managed to upset at least one passenger on the ship with our antics - next time we'll have to try harder.

Beki and Ron THOUGHT they'd gotten away with their little notes caper - until they went back to their room and found a "literature framed doorway entrance". Captain Crider and ( her…1st Mate) definitely walked the plank on that one. We (Ron & I) really thought we had them believing Bill did it.

Chris Myers won $1,000 worth of paintings. Dahli and her girls managed to burn the midnight oil every night along with George and Pat. Ron and Beki, Bruce & Lynn tried to keep up with them but failed every time. Beki and Ron finally made the cruise video - this is their 13th cruise and they finally made it!

Bill found out that George can really lead well and follow when Bill hijacked the lead.

Both Mary and Lynn gave up their bras for the contest and getting them off was half the excitement. Putting them back on was even trickier.

Ron was seen cavorting with other topless men wearing Mary’s bra (around his neck), wearing her lipstick and carrying her champagne colored evening bag and wearing Dahli’s pumps. He was dancing in a circle doing some tribal fertility dance. It did make for a great ensemble.

Don Hancock's out of control small boat on the Costa Maya trip and Ted’s boat that sang…"I don’t want to go". Don Hancock (Darlin) holding all of Vera’s shopping. I think she out shopped us all. All the girls got new jewelry baubles on the trip.

Cheryl, Lynda and Vera all got Spa Treatment days by their lovers, HOWEVER John did show some concern when Cheryl decided to tell all of us that she lost her Blue VS panties in the spa/massage. She tried to tell exactly how, but we weren’t quite buying her story, but she is sticking with it! (Some crewman in the laundry room has a new pair of blue VS Panties. He’s selling them on Ebay!)

Indiana Jones Award

Bill Klapholz, having been handed the gauntlet (or rather the hat and whip) last year, passed the honor to John V with the 1st Annual Indiana Jones Award. So who will it go to next year (or better yet how in the world did he pack it in the suitcase and get it home)? (This started last year when Bill found a hat that actually fit his head and bought it. We called him Indiana Klapholz.

John V found a whip for a buck or two and presented it to him at their wine party in their suite to "complete" the outfit. This year Bill presented both the whip and the hat as the 1st annual "Indiana Jones Award" to John V saying he's wrestled a lot of "gaters" this year, with more to come next year.)

Snorkeling Cheryl

Cheryl is about as nervous in water as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. But she got up the courage to put on snorkeling gear and get in the water (the Gulf of Mexico). Yup, she was out there, face down and everything. I am so proud of her I could just bust a gut. She got a taste of the sites I have been telling her about for years.

John Lester

Thanks to Don Hancock and Vera for carrying our luggage home in their truck so that we could keep the trailer empty and get it home. Thanks again for all who went on this voyage. Ron and I had so much fun and will never miss another trip with the Yellow T-shirt Pack.
