New Dance Technique

How many of you saw the half-time show for the 2004 Super Bowl Game? Well, I doubt that any of us missed the replays for the Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson costume malfunction during the half-time show. Costume malfunction or new dance technique? Well, Justin and Janet are behind the times as we have at least 2 of our male dancers that have also had serious costume malfunctions during a social dance night out. Ron Crider has had the misfortune of having two costume malfunctions with two separate ladies somehow using a new technique of bra displacement. Both women did finish the dance and then raced to the ladies room to make repairs. However, another of our male dancers, Bob Ough has really topped the cake. While dancing West Coast Swing, he heard the girl shriek and looked down to find her dance panties around her ankles. Being a real trouper, she pulled it together, kicked the offending article off the dance floor so as not to harm another dancer, and kept on dancing.
Please do not try this on your own. These men are professionals. Bodily injury could result. Such as red face, groin displacement or death from a jealous spouse.

Note from your Prez…

The March social is at The Texas Hoe-Down (Holiday-Inn North, Mecham Blvd) on March 27^th at 7:00 for some dance fun and great music.

We are still floating around on Friday nights, but most Saturday nights find us in our home at The Horseman Club. We have been to Electric Cowboy, Cowboy’s in Arlington and we will be spending several weeks at Rodeo Exchange for a dance contest that the Stockyards Chapter is having. Dance Lessons @ Horseman

Terri Faulkner is teaching a series of lessons on Sunday afternoons. They run from 4:30 to 6:00. She has taught, Waltz, West Coast, Night Club Two Step, Cha Cha, Fort Worth Shuffle, and Two-step (Basic level). You can never have too much of basics. Especially if you social dance because as you know we get sloppy on some of our technique. The FW Chapter is supporting these lessons with participation and members get a discount on cost. Come on out and party with your chapter…

Dance Contest

Rodeo Exchange on Friday nights. Fort Worth Chapter will support this event each week. We have several TCWDA Certified Judges in our chapter and they will be judges for the contest as well as several dance competitors to enter the dance competition. Come on out and support your fellow dance chapter family members.

Cruise News

Members of the Fort Worth Chapter have negotiated a 7 day cruise for October 10^th 2004 for TCWDA. (Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines). Key West Florida, Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel.
