Ron Crider has negotiated an all association dance social at Gilley's in Dallas on Saturday, January 31st. Club manager has agreed to comp the $10.00 per person cover charge between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

New Years Eve Party
I can’t believe that a month has passed since our wonderful New Years Eve
Bash at the Harvey Hotel. Michael O’Brian put on a wonderful dance party for
all of us. If you were lucky enough to have chosen to participate you know what
I mean. The music was great, the ballroom beautiful, and the family of friends
from all over the metroplex so great. Ron and I realized that we have spent the
last 14 years on New Years Eve with this special dance family in TCWDA. We can’t
imagine being anywhere else but with these people. You can see some of the

Next year plan on participating if you can with us on New Years Eve and
let’s hope that Michael will again put on a great party for us.
Note from your Prez…
I have been in
discussion with the Horseman Management and they will honor our TCWDA cards on
Friday nights. If you arrive before 8:00, there is no cover charge and no card
is needed, but if you arrive between 8:00 to 9:00 you will need to show your
current TCWDA card but no cover. This is wonderful as The Horseman is our home
base for the Fort Worth Chapter. We are always there on Saturday night and again
now on Friday nights in our same location by the DJ Booth. Both DJ’s are
playing great music for all our dancing needs. I also have several plans in the
works for chapter events and chapter getaways. We will be performing for the
state convention for Teachers of the Hearing Impaired in July. So watch
for more details on this and more functions in your CIT. I also need your email
address if you want to be informed about events that come up between articles in

Dance Lessons @ Horseman
Terri Faulkner is teaching a series of lessons on Sunday afternoons. They run
from 4:30 to 6:00. She has taught, Waltz, West Coast, Night Club Two Step, Cha
Cha and Fort Worth Shuffle. She is now teaching Two-step (Basic level). You can
never have too much of basics. Especially if you social dance because as you
know we get sloppy on some of our technique. The FW Chapter is supporting these
lessons with participation and members get a discount on cost. Come on out and
party with your chapter.
