Thank You Midland/Odessa Chapter
The Fort Worth Chapter would love to express to you our
sincere thank you for the outstanding Executive Board meeting for TCWDA you
hosted for the state. In your usual Texas hospitality style you made us feel
apart of your chapter and welcome family members. I would love to thank Richard
Dodds for taking better care of us than we could have possible expected. Angela
Hall for opening her house for our meeting and all the chapter members who came
and cooked a wonderful dinner for us. Josie Brenner planned our Saturday night
at a dance at the Knights of Columbus Hall with some friends of hers and we had
a blast. The DJ was great and everyone so friendly, but you shouldn't expect
anything else in Midland/Odessa country. We missed seeing some of our friends,
Chuck, Pat, and Peggy as they were out of town, but remember the Fort Worth
Chapter Christmas Party is December 19th at 7:00 at my house, (the day before
the All Members Christmas Party) and anyone from M/O Chapter is welcome.
The only dark cloud on an otherwise perfect weekend was that
our Newsletter Editor, Sallie Spotanski broke her foot slipping on the curb just
outside Angela’s home. Angela is a nurse and immediately went into nurse mode,
but by the end of the meeting it was apparent that Sallie needed a visit to the
hospital and Angela took her with Sue following up with her car. We did not find
out until around midnight that she had actually broke her foot. Not what we
wanted to hear and she was leaving on a cruise in two weeks. I am happy to
report that she is doing good and in usual dancer form, she went on the cruise
and I can’t wait to hear how it went. (You can’t keep a good dancer
down...at least not for long anyway).
Dallas Dance Festival
November 7-9th at the Harvey Hotel, 4545 W. John Carpenter
Freeway. The chapter will have a dance social on Saturday the 8th at the event.
Competition during the day and the Saturday Night Variety Show is a must with
great music and dance floor for our social. See web site: (DallasDanceFestival.com)

Fort Worth Chapter Christmas Party
Fort Worth Chapter Christmas Party will be on Friday, December
19th at 7:00 at Ron & Beki’s home, 5813 Whitman Ave., Fort Worth, 76133.
Chapter will provide main dish... Mexican Theme...Both Beef and Chicken Fajita’s.
Bring your favorite dish or a dish following the theme. Chapter will also
provide soft drinks, etc. BYOB if you want to. We will also play a different
game that George & Pat are creating for your entertainment. (It’s a
secret). We will also have a small meeting where we will elect our new chapter
officers for 2004. All nominations must be emailed to John Lester... What357@charter.net

no later than December 15th. This is on a Friday night because the All Members
Christmas Party is the next night, the 20th, at National Hall.
Dance Lessons @ Horseman
Terri Faulkner is teaching a series of lessons on Sunday
afternoons. They run from 4:30 to 6:00. She has taught, Waltz, West Coast, and
Night Club Two Step with more to follow. The FW Chapter is supporting these
lessons with participation and members get a discount on cost. Come on out and
party with your chapter.
