Dang, it's been awhile since ya'll heard from your trail boss so here goes.
I get a lot of questions from folks about our home club, the Horseman Club.
Here is the straight poop. The new owner, Rex Benson is a business man who is trying his best to
run a club.
He knows the value of TCWDA support and we are working together to get out accurate info to
everyone. Bear with us and be open minded about things and remember, we
have seen that place close before and darn sure DON'T want it to happen
again. There will be a few nights when we don't get free cover because
of contracts with the bands they are bringing in. Live with it. He has
gone to the trouble of getting Terri Faulkner to teach there on Sundays
and I'm happier than a hog in slop.
There is a new chapter trying to get it's act together and doing a
fine job of it. We always need new blood in TCWDA and I will personally
help those folks however I can.
Since I
last had a chance to jaw awhile we've have had a few get
togethers like lake parties and road trips to dance halls out of town.
"Tarnation" them's fun. If any of ya ain't been to some of these you are
sssooo missing out. Read your news letter and plan on showing up.
Dance tip #1. I get asked what is the hardest part about learning
to dance. That would be the one thing most people fail at. Nope, it
ain't footwork, steps, or even frame. It SHOWING UP. Do that and you
will dang well get better. I guarantee it
Remember that this is my last year as prez of the chapter and Ron
Crider has agreed to run for the office at the next election. We need
more involvement from more folks as some of us are plum tuckered out.
