Our
wonderful club is under new ownership. Rex is going to be so great for
the club and he is really working with John Vislosky, President of the
Association and our President, John Lester to accommodate all of our needs and
love of the dance. You will see some special music that John Lester has put
together for you from 7:30 to 8:30 every Saturday night. Saturday night music
will also be very country, with some west and east coast songs thrown into the
mix. Concert nights with big bands to start in the fall will have some special
entrance fees so be alert for this. We are very grateful to Rex and his staff
for the wonderful treatment we are receiving and our beautiful wonderful club is
taking on a new look and it Looks GREAT!!!
Trish and Jeff June Lake Party
WOW!!! We had a blast at the lake party Jeff and Trish had for us on June
8th. There house and lakefront property is beautiful and we have our own covered
layered patio and swings, a dock and the best host and hostess. I think we were
pretty good, but, between George and John L., all the deviled eggs went in 10
minutes, (I think there is a connection there), Lynda K. and John V. did end up
on the ground with Lynda’s legs in the air…We had a great turnout and thanks
to Trish and Jeff for inviting us.
JULY 4TH LAKE PARTY
Well,
Jeff and Trish have invited us back to their house for a July 4th Lake
Party. It starts at 3:00 P.M. and goes until… Chapter will provide hamburgers,
hotdogs, soft drinks, chips, plates, cups, napkins. You bring, yourself, BYOB,
dessert, baked beans, potato salad, dips, fruit tray, or some special dish you
are famous for!!! Fireworks are allowed since we are on the water. Bring a chair
for yourself and swimsuit/towel combo. Plan on having a FW (unsophisticated)
Chapter kind of party down day. News flash...stand back when Pat and I start
drinking our favorite wine. 4 bottles in 1 1/2 hours. Yea, We’re BAD! The
DIRECTIONS ARE: 820 to 199 west to Boyd exit 730 go North on 730 to Sandy Beach
(about 1 mile) there will be a Diamond Shamrock on the
right. Turn right and to Liberty School Rd. take a Right on Liberty School ( you
will come to Liberty School Rd. on Left first, don't turn left) go right
approximately 1/4 mile. You will see a white fence and 3 mail boxes at the
curve. Turn in at white fence go down long driveway and we are the middle house.

A Big Thank You!
Ron
and I would like to thank our Midland/Odessa Chapter for the Best time
ever. They always take such good care of Ron and I and make us feel so special
when we teach a Weekend workshop for them. John Vislosky and Lynda Kauffman made
the trip with us and fell in love with our M/O family. (I think they fell in
love with John and Lynda, too). If you ever get the chance to visit in the
Midland or Odessa area, please call them and go dancing with them. It is an
experience that you will cherish always. I know it’s something that John and
Lynda will always remember...Just ask them about their room in the motel. Ron
and I are innocent little lambs….
