WHERE TO DANCE in Fort Worth The Horseman Club "Fort Worth's Premier Country Western Night Club"
byJohn Lester, Trail Boss
HOWDY FROM THE TRAIL BOSS
Yup, it's been awhile since ya'all heard from me and I reckon it's bout time again. By now you
have heard all the stories
about the cruise and yes some of them do have just a smidge of truth in em. What the heck, we
was on vacation for
crying out loud. 2002 was a heck of a year. Besides the cruise we have had a whale of an All
Members party, a hoot of a shindig at
Ron and Beki Crider's house (they always pull out all the stops) a surprise birthday party for
Mary
Dike, complements of
her hubby Bill (just a few of their closest 200 or so friends and family) and a Holiday Party to
rival
any ever held.
By the time you read this redneck manifesto Christmas will be a memory. The tree will have seen
it's moment of glory,
wrapping paper will have been shredded and the last of the pumpkin pie scarfed down during a
midnight hunger attack.
What are we going to do now? Hey, lets go dance!
The new E Board was presented at the Holiday Party and without good
people volunteering to work like heck because
they know it needs to be done we wouldn't have a TCWDA. Be sure to tell them how much you
appreciate them. Better
yet, ask them to dance, pat their back, give em a hug and kiss or buy the a drink. They deserve
it.
Lets NOT forget the out going E Board Members, you will be missed
and we thank you for all you have done.
Thanks to Bob Ough, Beki Crider and Lynda Kauffman for doing great jobs with the articles they
did. Remember what I
said about showing your appreciation to good folks.
The shuffle contest at the Horseman is still going strong and yes we are still having lots of fun. If
you haven't been
there for one of these you need to go. Every one who gets in the contest has a ball and dances for
the fun of it. No one
has thrown up or passed out yet, not even Lynda K. Wow, I am impressed.
Oh crud, look at the time. Cheryl is standing at the door in her best looking outfit and I am
rambling on. Time to go.
