John Lester, our Trail Boss, did it again. He planned a super shopping spree. Yes, there was a
flood. But
didn't God create a flood for the betterment of mankind? Well, OK! Now where was I? Back to
the mall.
Grapevine Mills Mall where we got some super savings above and beyond our normal discount
at
Western Warehouse. The store had some really cool things and the guys were great standing
outside
the dressing rooms and we modeled the clothes for them. They gave us a thumbs up or down or
went
and got us a different size. We spent several hundred dollars there and then it was on to other
stores.
We went to the Dance shop and bought dance hose and I bought some really cute crop pants.
(Ron & I
are leaving on a Hawaiian Cruise and you know I really needed them) We then left Grapevine
and
headed West to Northeast Mall. Specifically Victoria Secret where the lingerie awaited us and we
gave
into the temptation and so did the guys. Then John had a surprise for us. He had us set up for a
special
discount at Whitehall Jewelers. Wow, we really spent the money there. They also gave each of us
a
special bag of goodies all wrapped up with ribbon. We topped off our wonderful day of shopping
with
dinner at Chile's. We had a great group there, even in the rain. John, you're the best!
Texas Hoe-Down Wonderful Success & Fun For All
The Hoe-Down was so much fun. We had our monthly social there on Saturday night and the
show/exhibitions
were the best. It was so great seeing old friends we don't get to see very often. The music was the
best Ron and I
have ever heard and we haven't missed a hoe-down since 1991. Having great music inspired great
dancing and
WOW, did we see it all. In fact Ron and I agree this was the best year ever. Hats off to The
Raineys! Good Luck trying
to top it next year!
