by Beki CriderThe Colors of Our People
A moment, an hour, a day that will forever be etched on our minds and a piece of our heart that was ripped from us as our friends and family were taken from our lives. The colors of our people, the red, the white and the blue rose above the ashes almost instantaneously to show the world freedom cannot be taken by force, but will grow defiantly stronger. We the Forts Worth Chapter members are praying for the families and friends, whose lives have forever been altered by the Attack on America.Friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.
Extreme Midnight Picnic
Our Extreme Midnight Picnic was an extreme success. We saw all kinds of food, but I do think that maybe Sonic won the highest sales award. You could bring any kind of food you wanted. We had the park all to ourselves and an Extreme blast eating and talking. We also used the time to discuss our "Hide-A-Way Cha" Exhibition that we will be performing at the All Members meeting on October 27th at 3:00 P.M., at The Stagecoach Ballroom. You do not want to miss this exhibition as we have really been practicing and have put a great production together for your entertainment. The Extreme Midnight Picnic was Ron Crider's idea with the best of friends, a great location, and except for the cool temperature, this is an outing we will definitely repeat. (Even the mosquitoes flew on by and absolutely NO Ants.) What more could you ask for?Cruise the Caribbean
Bon Voyage to all of our members going on the Stockyard's Cruise in October. I know that Don and Vera Hancock in our chapter are going. Ron and I tried and failed to get Ron's vacation time changed to go on this cruise as I know ya'll are going to have a wonderful time. Ron and I and our son Cody and his wife, Cara, are going on the same cruise leaving on November 5th, so ya'll leave the ship in good order for us. I have a must store for you to visit while in Cozumel. This is where I buy all my gemstones. If you want them mounted they will also do this for you in about an hour. (great huh)! As your cruise consultant will inform you, a loose gemstone is considered a rock and you will pay no duty on bringing it back into the states. The store is south of the main pier and on the waterfront like most of the stores. You will pass Vancleef and Arpels and proceed on down to Rachat and Romero's. It has a green marble entrance and trust me I have paid for several slabs of marble in that store. I have purchased, Tanzanite, London Blue Topaz, Amethyst and more. I have also had things mounted there and they do a beautiful job. The topaz and the amethyst you can get for $10.00 a carat so go big and get 8 carats. It's only 80.00 US dollars. Remember Rachat and Romero's and tell them I'll see them in November.
Details of the Fort Worth Christmas Party are on the Coming Events Page. Fort Worth Christmas Party.
Thanks John
I want to thank John Lester, Trail Boss for Pony Expressing the September Newsletter in from the Lester Ranch. I have been working way too much of late and my family thinks Ron and I are the Crider Moving Company, the Crider Lawn Sprinkler Designing Company, the Crider build a huge living room size totally enclosed porch company and the Crider interior design and decorate my new house company. John did an excellent job writing the newsletter and I think maybe we need to have a team newsletter group. We could all share the information. Let me know what you think!
